The Hip Hop Homies (a program of Home of the Homies, based right here in Mesa) are a dance team for adults with Down syndrome — "Xtra Chromies," as they proudly put it. They rehearse, they perform, and they light up every stage they step onto. What looks like a dance crew is really a community: a place where adults who too often get left on the sidelines get to be the main event.
That's exactly why Sertoma is behind them. Service to Mankind means helping everyone fully participate and thrive — and few groups embody it better than the Homies. When they perform, the whole room remembers what inclusion actually looks like.
